David L. Osborn died unexpectedly in Buffalo, NY, Sunday August 5, 2012. David, a native of Springfield, VA, graduated from Robert E. Lee High School, Class of 1970; attended Northern Virginia Community College and worked in telecommunications. Most notably however, was David's service in the United States Army as a Communications Specialist from 1976 to 1986 in various assignments worldwide; including El Salvador and Guatemala with the XVIII Airborne Corps. 

David is survived by his wife Gretchen, daughter Amanda; grandson Hunter; sister Sara Snyder of Fredericksburg, VA; brother Douglas Osborn of Colonial Heights, VA; nieces Shelly Snyder of Stafford, VA and Shannon Cole and her husband Kevin of Portsmouth, VA; nephew Benjamin; and great-niece Kennedy. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Mabel Osborn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday 21 August at Quantico National Cemetery, Quantico, VA.
